The CTRL UL101 is a handheld, non-destructive inspection system, which utilizes ultrasonic technology for predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and quality control.
The UL101 Receiver, the primary component in the system, detects and converts ultrasound into easily recognizable sounds within the human range of hearing and supplies output to a headset, as well as to an analog meter.
CTRL UL101 For Condition Based Monitoring
The CTRL UL101 is used to detect early signs of failure in mechanical systems such as gearboxes, motors, bearings, and more. In addition, the UL101 Ultrasonic Sensor helps to determine whether a bearing or gearbox is under-lubricated, properly lubricated, or over-lubricated.
Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing Advantages
Reduce Downtime, Save Man-Hours
The UL101 "allows fast identification of the scope of problems to be corrected. Cuts trouble shooting labor by 50% to 75% compared to conventional methods"
CTRL UL101 Ulrasonic Inpection System Options
The CTRL UL101 is available in the following configurations:
Standard System - Originally designed for the U.S. military, the UL101 has evolved and is now used worldwide for predictive and preventive maintenance. Detect and pinpoint early warning signs of component and system failures before costly repairs, safety related injuries, and downtime occurs. Detect compressed air and gas leaks, bad bearings, and more. includes all
Intrinsically Safe System - Allows entry into highly volatile, explosive environments, opening the door for new applications such as detection of potentially hazardous gas leaks - in hospitals, refineries, chemical plants, and certain restricted areas within utility plants or facilities.
Air Audit System - Specifically configured for leak detection and air surveys but also includes a solid probe which allows for listening to internal components such as bearings, gearboxes, valves, and more. The UL101 offers the greatest capability for detection of even the smallest leaks.
CTRL UL 101 Components:
Originally designed for the US Military, the CTRL UL101 Ultrasonic Inspection System is now used in several industries throughout the world for predictive maintenance, trouble-shooting, and leak detection.
Mechanical Equipment Condition Monitoring/Analysis
Pressure & Vacuum Leak Detection
Non-Pressurized Vessel Integrity Testing
Protects the UL101 Receiver without restricting use of all controls.
Allows the user to keep hands free and the UL101 available for regularly scheduled or emergency inspection and diagnosis. Can hold the Receiver, Headset, Transmitter, and some attachment.
Flourescent color-code tags identify component that need repair or easy processing and job tacking.
Gel Ear Seals
Partially filled with silicon gel, seals conform to facial contours to increase comfort and help block competing audible sounds, increasing attenuation from 2 to 3 dB.
